Member Programming & classes

Our goal is to give our members the tools they need to reach their mobility goals and improve their quality of life through movement. By expanding our services to include an online platform, 1-on-1 therapy, group classes, and open gym with the support of trained staff and volunteers, we hope to continue our mission of making physical activity accessible to all!

MOVE currently offers individualized exercise programming, 1-on-1 therapy, access to our accessible equipment facility, a weekly virtual chair based exercise class, weekly virtual chair based yoga , a weekly walking group, and access to group and individualized nutrition coaching.

All programming at MOVE is entirely inclusive and can be adapted to meet any individual's ability and preferences. Find a program that is right for you with the assistance of our supportive staff and trained volunteers!

Supported Therapeutic Exercise Program (STEP)

MOVE aims to advance inclusion through all of its programs and services. Each program is focused on eliminating physical and financial barriers that individuals may encounter while seeking to engage in regular physical activity.

MOVE’s Supported Therapeutic Exercise Program (STEP) provides supported therapeutic exercise and access to adapted equipment to individuals in the community who need support to exercise.

STEP includes the development of individualized exercise programs, full access to MOVE’s specialized gym equipment, one-on-one therapy by a registered Kinesiologist or Athletic Therapist, group exercise programs, and support from trained staff and volunteers.

Once an initial assessment has been completed by our Kinesiologist or Athletic Therapist, STEP will be created and tailored to your needs and abilities.

1-on-1 Therapy

Work one - on - one with our exercise rehabilitation specialists. We can adjust, improve or challenge your current exercise regime to improve injuries, enhance strengthening, or better meet your health and fitness goals.

‘Open Gym’

Access to our specialized equipment to move your body and work on your exercise program created just for you, more independently. Don’t worry our volunteers are here to help you during open gym.
